Scripture Ask ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information. If you create an account or sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a basic profile identifier so we can sign you in and sync your access across devices.
Content you submit. When you ask a question about a passage, the question and the relevant verse reference are sent to our servers and our AI provider to generate a response.
Purchase information. If you subscribe, Apple processes the payment. We receive a pseudonymous identifier and your subscription status (active, expired) to unlock premium features.
App usage. Basic, non-identifying usage such as your daily free-question count, stored mostly on your device.

How we use it

To provide the reading and AI features you request.
To manage your account and your subscription access.
To maintain, secure, and improve the app.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with trusted providers who process data on our behalf:

Supabase — authentication and backend.
OpenAI — generates answers to your questions. Your prompts are processed to return a response and are not used to train their models.
RevenueCat — manages subscription status.
Apple — processes payments and app distribution.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention & deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will delete it within 30 days except where retention is legally required.

Children

Scripture Ask is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
